About the JobThe role involves providing comprehensive legal support for Caterpillar’s financial services operations in India (within the NBFC framework). It focuses on transactions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and litigation while advising business teams and senior management.
Eligibility & Experience8+ years of working experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience within an NBFC in India (or related role) preferred.
• 4-year college or university degree with a law background (LL.M. is highly preferred).
• Legal Professional Certificate and considerable experience in law practice in India.
• Rich experience in transactions, legal agreements, litigation, and compliance in the financial industry.
• Proven leadership experience and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• High proficiency in English, especially regarding legal writing skills.
Work Profile & Responsibilities• Leading legal support for transactions, regulatory compliance, governance, and litigation for Cat Financials’ core business in India.
• Researching complex legal issues and drafting/reviewing complex legal documents.
• Ensuring legal strategies align perfectly with business objectives.
• Advising senior management and providing clear recommendations on legal risks.
• Assessing broad legal risk exposure and contributing to the resolution of issues.
• Taking responsibility for team engagement, leadership, and development.
